Guests at the Shine Bright Gala can look forward to an enchanting evening at the iconic San Remo Ballroom filled with entertainment, gourmet dining, and inspiring speeches from individuals whose lives have been touched by scleroderma. The event features an auction with an array of exclusive items and experiences, donated by generous supporters. Each bid and donation made during the evening directly contributes to Scleroderma Victoria’s initiatives, making a tangible difference in the lives of those living with the condition.

The events in 2021, 2022 and 2023 raised funds to support ‘The Harrison Pennicott PhD Scholarship’ which was established to support research into systemic sclerosis. Harrison Pennicott is a young boy who has disabling pansclerotic morphea, a manifestation of Scleroderma. He is only one of two in the world to have this form of the disease. Through Harrison along with his family and with the help of our Ambassador Dyson Heppell, $105,000 was raised to support Dr Alannah Quinlivin over the 3.5 years of her PhD researching gastrointestinal involvement in Scleroderma.

Continuing on from the amazing work of the Pennicott Family, the Scleroderma Victoria Committee are pleased welcome back the event in 2025.
